Kit Budget
Price the habit: weapon, shield, consumables, repairs — then amortize deaths over your real extraction rate so every raid has a price tag before you queue it.
How it works
kit cost = Σ(line items) death rate = 1 − extraction rate amortized = kit cost × death rate → expected kit loss per raid
On a successful extract the kit comes home; on a death it's gone. Amortized cost spreads that risk over many raids so a risky premium kit can be compared honestly with a budget one. Methodology.
FAQ
What is amortized cost per raid?
Expected kit spend per raid including deaths: if you extract 55% of the time, you lose gear 45% of the time, so a 10,000 kit "costs" about 4,500 per raid in expectation. It is the honest way to compare a premium kit against a budget one.
Do recovered items count?
If the game returns gear on extraction or via insurance-like recovery, subtract the expected recovery from your loss. Fold it into the kit cost field as a net number.
How cheap is too cheap?
When your kit stops killing the AI tiers on your route, extraction rate falls — and EV falls faster than kit savings. Check both sides: this tool plus the raid loot EV calculator.
